WhatsApp Terms and Conditions and the European Interoperability Framework
This new European rule is going to change how messaging applications work. It enforces a new regulation to enable messages and video call sharing with the other installed applications. This means a major update is expected for each app to extend implemented interfaces to send and receive data.
This new regulation is applied across the UK, and EU where WhatsApp seems ready to enroll this new update.

This change will not impact the end-to-end encryption which WhatsApp and iMessage have in place. It will extract just the information which users consent to feed into selected third-party applications.
New development patterns are anticipated to emerge from this change both from an architectural and code implementation point of view.
